Preparing Skull for Shipping

1
First make sure skull is clean, which means removing hair, eyes, tongue, brain and excess meat.
NOTE: An extra charge of $30 dollars will be added if this process is not done.
If your skull looks like this...

Add $30 if you don't skin out the skull

Freeze for 3 days before sending. (If a skull is full of maggots and bugs we have the right to send it back to you because it may cause harm to our beetles.)

Sending Us a Skull

1
Wrap the skull in newspaper to absorb any moisture. Then wrap it in a plastic bag and seal it. Wrap the skull again in another plastic bag and seal it to help prevent any moisture from leaking out of the box.
example: wrap skull in newspaper
2
Wrap the bagged skull in newspaper and place crumpled newspaper around the skull to prevent shifting, then pack in a very sturdy box. This also will insulate the box and keep the skull cold until it arrives.
NOTE: If the skull has horns or antlers please cover all points so they will not pierce through the box. For example: cut garden hose into 3"-4" pieces and tape onto all points.
example: wrap skull properly

If you're requesting camo dipping, make a copy of the pattern you want and add that to the envelope with all your other info.

Please mail early in the week, not on weekends. Send the box express or overnight. Make sure you also ask the agent at the desk to print you a prepaid return label and place this in the box in a ziploc bag. We will contact you when we receive your skull and check.

In addition to your name and address please include your email, phone number, hunting tag, specific instructions and full payment in the ziploc bag. This will enable us to send the finished skull back to you without any delay.

Seal all sides with packing tape. Mark as Fragile and Taxidermy Items on the outside of the box.
NOTE: All of the above procedures are important. Leaky, foul-smelling packages cause a great deal of problems and can lead to your package being discarded or lost by the shipping company. They also can arrive damaged. We accept no responsibility for lost or damaged packages.

Please make sure all your info is correct and everything is placed into ziploc bags. We recommend doubling up on the bags.
